All About the

HIPE

May 4-6, 2027

What started as a collaborative concept between the Aerospace and Defense industry of Northern Utah & the State of Utah — has resulted in the creation of the Hill Industry Partner Exchange (HIPE) event.
This three-day outreach experience provides a unique opportunity for aerospace & supply chain professionals to meet & discuss current issues, trends, lessons learned, technology, requirements, and the future of the USAF supply chain.
Professionals from military, state government, industry, and academia will join at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center. This year’s theme will be centered on, “'Growing the Industrial Base: Strength through Partnerships.” Attendees will hear from industry innovators, academia, State representatives and military keynote speakers.

The Message

The strength of the aerospace and defense industrial base depends on the partnerships that connect manufacturers, suppliers, logistics providers, and the USAF supply chain. Discussions will highlight how leaders from the aerospace industry and the supply chain can build stronger partnerships, share risk, and align capacity across the supply base to grow the industrial base together.

This event brings together key stakeholders – including manufacturers, suppliers, logistics providers, and industry experts – to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and innovations shaping global supply networks. The conference fosters collaboration by providing a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships that drive efficiency, resilience, and sustainability in supply chains.

Attendees gain insights into cutting-edge technologies, regulatory updates, and best practices which optimize operations while mitigating risks. By strengthening collaboration across digital transformation, supply chain resilience, and mission requirements, this event helps businesses build the partnerships needed to grow and strengthen the industrial base together.

Engagement

Exchange Knowledge Between Stakeholders

HIPE aims to do just that—exchange knowledge between stakeholders. In addition to keynote speakers, there will be opportunities for companies to sign-up for Supplier Search Interviews (SSI) directly with USAF supply chain personnel. There are also opportunities for industry to present a brief capabilities presentation as well. There will be breakout sessions from each of the 748th Supply Chain Management Group’s squadrons where representatives will be on hand to provide mission requirement information. An engineering representative will also be available to discuss technical issues/challenges. Professionals from Air Force Contracting, DLA Contracting, Small Business Office HAFB, Strategic Alternative Sourcing Program Office (SASPO), Weber State University, and State of Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity will all be on hand to answer questions as well.

Representatives from the HAFB supply chain will be discussing their current & future requirements that support sustainment capabilities for some of today’s most critical weapon platforms within the USAF. Government representatives will be conducting market research by engaging with private industry looking for ways to improve its acquisition process and gaining insight into new supply chain technologies being in today’s marketplace. Information will be presented in a variety of formats from large group speaking engagements, focused breakout sessions, and individual supplier search interviews (based upon first come/first served sign-up availability).
