Small Business CMMC Level of Effort
WED 10:45 AM - 11:30 AM
Meeting Room 201

Adversaries are increasingly targeting the United States’ military and industrial advantages by exploiting interconnected information systems. In response, the federal government has emphasized protecting sensitive data, such as Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), across its supply chain. Contractors handling this data must implement baseline cybersecurity measures within their IT systems and comply with DFARS 252.204-7021, which enforces Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements. Achieving compliance can be complex for organizations of any size. Adam Austin of Totem Tech will share insights on challenges small businesses face, including costs, timelines, and starting points, drawing from real-world experience and offering practical resources for navigating compliance.
